Transform your boring bar holder into a quick change tool holder. You use this adapter in conjunction with our straight shank PRECI-FLEX® Chuck (Type 12). Basically, you install the straight shank into your boring bar holder bore and set it in place with the existing set screws. Once the shank is secure, your boring bar holder will have a shank with a PRECI-FLEX® interface at the end of it. If you put the boring bar holder adapter in the PRECI-FLEX® chuck, you’ve essentially turned it back to a boring bar holder but the advantage is that the boring bar can be preset off line and then installed in the machine. Any PRECI-FLEX® adapter will mount to the straight shank PRECI-FLEX® interface but the quick change boring bar holder offers flexibility when needing to change boring bar sizes from one job to the next. Each adapter is equipped with a set screw at the bottom of the chuck to act as an adjustable stop. < Back
